Project details: ZF’s new purpose built technical and office facility on Blythe Valley Business Park, Solihull is a technical and office facility of over 220,000 sq ft with 700 staff and room for growth! The site features the latest technology and infrastructure for developing advanced solutions for an autonomous, electric and connected mobility future. The facility design and architecture underpins the groups sustainability strategy for across-the-board carbon neutrality by 2040.
The Technical Building, features laboratories, workshops, and technical spaces, with a vast external service yard. This new building has become home to many departments in the ZF machine, including climatics and power steering. The corridors inside this building have been designed to measure 4m wide to allow large items of testing equipment to be transferred into the appropriate laboratory. The Technical Building also accommodates a 9m high roller shutter door which provides access to a vibration bay that will be used to vigorously test aircraft components.
