Project details: Pi Group were approached by the NHS to become part of the development team for this new medical centre. From inception through to completion, we specified interior finishes to meet all HTM/HBN requirements and ensured all elements would pass a rigorous infection control inspection. We had to ensure that the space would be adaptable enough to change according to occupation of services. The vision was for the facility to be exceptionally high end and a stepping stone for change within the culture of the NHS. Furniture was specified with colour and style and to give a welcoming feel with the aim of changing attitudes and proving environments play an important role in patient as well as staff mood.
